ISA – London West Cross Country Championships

On Friday 4 February, 15 boys from Year 7 to 13 represented the College at the ISA London West Cross Country Championships at Sherfield School.  The U14 (Year 7 and 8) race was won by Charlie Mills with Henry Robinson finishing 3^rd and Sam Peddie 4^th enabling the team to win with only 8 points. Miles Slee 23^rd and Thomas Field 36^th worked hard in the chasing pack but a special mention has to go to Michael Try who ran a fantastic race and finished 9^th. Charlie Mills, Henry Robinson, Sam Peddie and Michael Try now represent the London West region at the National Finals.

The U16 (Year 9 and 10) boys at the moment are in a league of their own with Toby Starling finishing 1^st, Richard Allen 2^nd and Owen Wagstaff 3^rd blitzing the rest of the field to win the team event with only 6 points. A special mention goes to Oliver Leatherdale 7^th and Michael Gregory 8^th, who along with the other three boys move onto representing the London West Region at the National Finals.

The over 16’s (Year 11, 12, 13) was a fiercely competitive race and Aubyn Shortland was the star of the show finishing 10^th which gives him the opportunity to run for the London-West region also. Henry Cronk 18^th and Michael Silvester 23^rd worked extremely hard in tough conditions.

A fantastic effort from all of the boys and another great day for Salesian College!
