Salesian College Farnborough win prestigious Inter-Salesian Athletics

On Friday 15 June, thirty-five boys from Years 7-10 represented the College in the Inter-Salesian Athletics Championships, which was held at Wavertree Stadium in Liverpool.
There were some outstanding individual performances on the day. Harry Newton won three gold medals in Year 9 winning the 100m, 200m and Long Jump. Also, Daniel Edgar in Year 8 won the 200m, shot put and was part of the relay team. A special mention must go to Henry Bolden in Year 7 who broke the Inter-Salesian Long Jump record.
Out of the 52 events that took place for the boys, Salesian, Farnborough took gold in 25 of them. The Year 7’s came in 3rd place and the Year 8-10’s finished 1st place within their age groups. This meant that Salesian, Farnborough won the overall event – An incredible achievement! Congratulations to all boys in their monumental performances to bring four out of the five trophies back to the College.
